Inspection Services

Every saddle accepted for service begins with a structured inspection. This process is designed to identify wear, fatigue, or structural concerns before they result in failure.

The inspection evaluates:

• Saddle tree condition and overall structural integrity

• Stirrup bar security, alignment, and wear (fixed or adjustable systems)

• Billet condition, stretch, stitching, and attachment points

• Balance, symmetry, and hardware stability

This inspection establishes whether a saddle is suitable for repair and ensures that safety-critical work is performed responsibly.

Repair Services

Stirrup Bar Replacement

Stirrup bars are among the highest-stress components on a saddle. For balance, symmetry, and rider safety, stirrup bars are replaced only as a matched pair.

We service both fixed and adjustable stirrup bar systems. Adjustable bar replacements are most commonly performed on Shively Saddles and Perfection Saddles saddles, though other premium brands are accepted.

All installations include inspection of surrounding stress areas to ensure the integrity of the repair.

Billet Replacement

Billets are treated as a load-bearing safety component, not a cosmetic item. Replacement is performed to restore proper security, even wear, and dependable performance.

We use billets made in England from the highest-quality leather, selected for strength, longevity, and consistent performance under load. Materials are chosen to meet the expectations of serious trainers and exhibitors.

• $40 per billet

• Minimum of 3 billets per saddle

For safety reasons, billets will not be replaced on saddles with a broken or compromised tree. Saddles must pass tree inspection before billet work is performed.

Act Before It Becomes a Problem

The week of the first show is not the time to discover a failing billet, compromised stirrup bar, or structural issue. At that point, options are limited and pressure is high.

Saddles should be inspected and serviced in advance, while there is time to address issues correctly and without compromise. The time to act is now.
